Application and Fees

Application for Associate Membership of the ICCP



Any practicing coal or organic petrologist may apply for Associate Membership of the ICCP. An Application Form duly completed should be sent together with the documents listed below to the General Secretary at angeles_(at)_incar.csic.es

List of Documents required to become an Associate Member of the ICCP:
-Completed Application form
  ICCP Application form.doc
  ICCP Application form.pdf
-Sponsoring letter by an ICCP Full member
-Brief Curriculum Vitae highlighting the activities in coal and organic petrology
-A recent photo
-Payment document
-In case of applying for student rate, a document justifying student status should be enclosed

Application for Full Membership of the ICCP

Full members of the ICCP are expected to have at least five years experience in the field of coal and/or organic petrology and at least two years of Associate Membership. Those Associate ICCP members willing to become Full Members should contact the General Secretary at  angeles_(at)_incar.csic.es and provide the following documents:

-A candidature letter indicating their wish of becoming an ICCP Full member
-A Curriculum Vitae demostrating their level of experience
-A Sponsoring letter by an ICCP Full member

Application for Institutional Membership of the ICCP

Institutional Members shall be those firms, institutions of higher learning, or other organisations interested in fostering the science of organic petrology.

Interested institutions should contact the General Secretary at  angeles_(at)_incar.csic.es and provide a letter of interest indicating the activities of the Institution in the field of organic and/or coal petrology. 

Fee structure of the ICCP



Dues for ICCP membership are payable in advance. The ICCP has discounts which apply for early payment and for internet download of the ICCP Newsletter (for further information see ICCP News #39, page 21).

At the meeting in Gramado (2009) a new student fee has been introduced which is applicable for a maximum of three years. Undergraduate or post-graduate (master or Ph.D.) students willing to benefit of the ICCP student rate should accompany the invoice with a letter from their supervisor indicating their student status.

The Institutional Membership fee has been established in 700 € per year. Further benefits have been introduced for institutional members at the meeting in Gramado, having the institution the rights of selecting up to two representatives for correspondence.
Member fees discounts will apply for up to 5 employees of the Institution willing to take part in ICCP activities and programs.
a)      For Individual  ICCP members belonging to an Institutional member the rights will be maintained without payment of the individual fee.

Further benefits include to have the Logo in the newsletter indicating that they are institutional members and a reduced fee for training courses.
